HVAC is usually the largest, most energy-hungry system in a building — and the one occupants feel every minute. MEP Trade designs heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems that hold comfort quietly and efficiently, sized from real load calculations rather than rules of thumb.

What an HVAC design package includes:

• Heating and cooling load calculations — room-by-room, based on envelope, occupancy and climate data;
• System selection — chillers, heat pumps, VRF/VRV, boiler plants, radiant and underfloor heating, fan-coils and air-handling units, compared on capital and running cost;
• Distribution design — ductwork routing, hydronic networks, pump sizing, insulation and acoustic control;
• Zoning and controls — thermostatic zones, demand-controlled ventilation, BMS integration;
• Energy efficiency — heat recovery, free cooling, equipment staging strategies;
• Documentation — permit and tender-grade drawings, equipment schedules, specifications and bills of quantities.
